|  |  |  |  |  |  | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | Immundus, born in Albufeira, Portugal in 1982, wasn`t until the age of 15 years old that he picked up is first musical instrument.
Playing as bassist in different music projects throughout the years, Necrokult of Kronos, a death/black metal band in which he was bass former member and singer, was this the only band with more accomplisments, recording a demo and a full album.
After moving to Norway by the end of 2003 for personal reasons, wasn’t until the end of 2006 that the opportunity to self-thought expression through music and ideas gave birth to the Dark Ambient musical project under the same name he already had on previous bands as "Immundus".
Inspired by the many dark aspects of life, its mystery, horror, the force and sounds of mother nature, combined with mental chaos, psychotic dreams, and musical influences from depressive, gothic and black metal "atmospheres", Immundus intends to create eerie, haunting and bizarre atmospheres, yet beautiful and melancholic with intent to make skins crawl and turn purest dreams into nightmares.
By the end of 2007 Immundus makes the 1st official release of the debut album "Torments" through Dead Moon Records but after insatisfaction both on the quality and lack of promotion from part of the record label Immundus decides to put the album out of stock and self, re-releases it again, remastered and with new artwork in May of 2008, receiving great criteria from part of the media and the press.
In April 2009, Immundus presents the 2nd full-lenght album, "Haunted Memories" released by the canadian Record Label, Hypnotic Dirge Records in pro CD and Digipack packaging, which had thus far recieved amazing reviews outstanding feedback both from fans, press and the media.
Immundus has counted with the participation in a few compilations thus far, such as "Winter in Dissonance" by Dead Knife Records in 2007, "Entwined" by one of the official promotors, Dark Mourning Promotions in 2008 and "Why I Remember" in 2009, a very special compilation dedicated to the holocaust victims.
Currently is in collaboration with serveral projects on which can be named "The Method Learned", "Elapidae", and "The Tarot Series" that will be counting always with exclusive material.
As far as it goes for future releases, Immundus is now preparing a free EP that will count with a small collection of exclusive songs in collaboration with other great artists such as the swedish artist Fredrik Klingwall from music projects like, Anima Morte, Rising Shadows, Chansonoir to name a few, Nausea from Poland , Gnosis from the UK, founder or Proxenous, and Isolated Empire as well the the "Elapidea Project", alongside with other artists yet to be named.
2009 has promised to be a full year for Immundus and apart from the free EP and all these collaborations Immundus is involved with, confirmed are as well, the participation in a few compilations throughout the year to name are "Wandering Streams Ambient compilation" and "These are the Darkest Years", this last one to be released by Deadknife Records.
Also on the works is already Immundus 3rd full-lenght to have its release in 2010, although is still very soon to mention it, all that can be said is that the album concept has been made, as well as the title wich will be "Through the eyes of a Serpent", some songs and experimentation have also started.
