Hello everyone!
It has been awhile since I have sent and update. I took a bit of a break to pursue other activities. I joined a fire dancing company in TX and started taking aerial classes. After 8 months and a horrible tragedy where my mentally ill boyfriend tried to kill me then hung himself I lost my mind for a bit. I had to get out of TX and ended up in CO.
I have been here for two months and have been very musically inspired. In the two months I have wrote two new pieces that I plan on performing my aerial hoop and silk routine too. I am also currently working on some songs were I am signing. I wrote my first love song! Something I thought I would never be capable of. Anyways just wanted to let you know that the nectar is brewing! Hope everyone is having a lovely year. Love & Light

2016 has to be better. I'm not making any resolutions. Its shitty to put that on yourself. It only establishes a ground for you to judge yourself and envelop in guilt if it's not working out how you wanted.

Change takes time and if you truly want to change something about yourself, you are most likely going to have to work on it for a long time, and continuously. Just make a plan and do your best to stick to it and try to not get stuck when unforeseen obstacles are thrown into your path.

I am so excited that I finished my creepy music box song before Halloween! It was a goal of mine when I started the song over 6 weeks ago. Some 50 hours later it is complete!
This was one of the more challenging songs I have wrote, and a bit different in format from the other songs. I wanted to make a composition where it was a story, and nothing repeats itself. Recording my vocals was also difficult due to the red tide that plagued the area I live. This was hell on my vocals, but overall I think it pulled together nicely, and I am glad to be finished so I can start something new!
The song is from the point of view of the ballerina in the music/jewelry box that many of us had as a child. One day the idea just popped into my head, and I thought that would be fun to write!
I hope you enjoy it! All the support and emails I receive really keep me motivated to keep making music. So thank you to all of you who support me. I love and appreciate each and every one of you!

Greetings earthlings!

I decided to start a blog. I have been using writing as a way to de stress, cope, and just get my thoughts on paper. I also have a lot that I would like to share as far as Hotnectar music is concerned with topics on how I come up with songs, my inspirations, struggles, and the steps I take to produce them.
