HOLDFAST RECORDS HISTORY:
Holdfast Records was founded in 2006 by the owner of Uprise Zine, a heavy music and skateboarding magazine. Around September of 06, owner Dave Darr, was approached by a band he was close friends with, Materia Medica, about releasing a farewell album. Having already put together a compilation cd, releasing it under the name "Holdfast Records," he was pleased to help them out. That is where it all took-off and Uprise Zine officially branched out and started a record label. The intention behind Holdfast Records is simply to release quality, heavy music with a positive or Christian message. Holdfast Records is building a solid roster of diverse bands and within a year's time Holdfast Records will have already released 6 cds, with many more in the plans for 2008. |
