With a great emphasis on creating uplifting and positive moods for his music, He waits by the tree... weaves an emotional web of found and electronic sounds to create vast soundscapes and adorable melodies, whilst experimenting with layer upon layer of his own choral vocals.
Jamie began writing under the name 'He waits by the tree...' shortly after the passing of his beloved father and shortly after his mother, who both instead of having a gravestone to remember them by, had their ashes scattered in the roots of a young tree. The tree grows alongside a whole forest of young trees, each dedicated to a person who has past away. Jamie's parents wait by the tree for their family to join them.
Influenced by both living life and facing death, it becomes clear that He waits by the tree... is something more than just the music you hear, but its also a message to us all to slow down, to observe, and to take in the simple beauties that surround us everyday, as they will help us deal with the harder times.
