Smooth voice

I have heard your song, and your voice is smooth, crystal clear, precise. I also like the progressive way you built your song with an increasing emotion. Congratulations, that a very good tune! All the best Kreess

A really good and complete song

I'll think its one of their best song the have, really nice done. The echo on the drum is tricky and if you're not on time whit it, the rest of the instruments gets out the tempo of the delay, But it's difficult when the drums come in later and hope you are in line whit the delay. The delay should be more less feedback so it give's a bit more space for the other musicians. The song is beautiful build up. It give's me the idea listening to edie brickell. Is not the same, but like id said. it give's me the feeling this song. In order whit other songs is this one most complete. A real hit you have here.

Nice guitar sound, A few production issues and a tough topic.

Got some good ideas here. The acoustic guitar is good. The overall quality of the recording is good (until about 3:30). The gals voice is good, not strong but on key. Production thoughts. It gets very messy at 3:30, almost over busy and distorted. The drum sound over all is good, the instruments in the busy part are kind of walking on each other. The vocal could use some treatment but definitely has some quality to it so your off and running there. The drum echo hits seems over done, do the echo, but less often and maybe some other fill song. I could easily hear this song done in a more acoustic way with a flute, etc. Personally (and it's a opinion, the lyric didn't interested me that much, I'd rewrite that part), make it personal, and a young voice singing about 80 years seems out of place. The beginning of the song is the strongest and keep the vocal "phrasing" for the most part. Lastly as mentioned before, don't let the content get the best of the mix, make the mix control the content. Enjoy!!

What a Beautiful Song

Immediately liked the sound of the song at the start. Such a soft, pleasant sound of the instruments. The singing is awesome as well. A very innocent sounding young lady. The music and the singing together drive home the lyrics and feeling of the song. Wow, this is a very good song, with great lyrics. Just overall would love to hear this on the radio. You go Dude. Cool. Sincerely Edward Westbrook

Almost Ready for Top Ten

"80 Years" is a new single by Daniel (Guille) Grinberg whom hails from Texas, USA. From my point of view as a fellow artist, writer, producer and social entrepreneur, I have a pretty good ear for what should work, and this single could work on radio, that is, If distribution were to become possible. This single starts off tremendously strong with top level producing, exceptional vocals and certain style. However, by about the one minute point of the single, the "80 Years" is pronounced entirely too many times. If there were a good reason for it fine, but in this case, the singer almost seems stuck, refusing to go into the true depth of the emotional context. By the time the climax ending of the song appears, it seems almost out of place and by that time, this reviewer felt as though I had lost interest and passion for the song. It's not all for not! With some more tweaking, a few extra bells and whistles plus a re-structuring of the last verses, this could work. Thank you for letting us have a listen to your work. Gentle Song Of Reflection and Thought

A sweet female vocal sets the tone for this thought provoking song reflecting on the effects of eighty years of an average life expectancy. The song pulls you in very nicely. We can all relate to the theme here. We all start out with about the same expected lifetime, and here we note hat that time is not that much. The sweetness of the vocalist is key to the affable feel of the song. It's a song you'll likely listen to a few times just to enjoy all the nuances. The musicians were all good and the feel is nice as well as steady. I look forward to hearing more from this talented artist and songwriter.

I Really Really Love It

Ok. I want to start by apologizing for not realizing how this works, being super busy and just now getting to reviewing this song. I always try to say something positive and then be a critical. I think its a well wrote song full of meaning and emotion which I love. I think the guitars are really nice and lay under the vocals beautifully. I love her voice. Its very unique and sounds very appealing. Now the only critical thing I hear is the drum machine track was not the quality the rest of the song most certainly is. I understand that not everyone can record in major studios with top shelf drummers and players and I myself had to start that way playing my guitar over drum machines. I think the song would be better served taking that totally out until you can mic up a drummer and lay real drums on it. Other then that I was really impressed! Good job. TC Cross

Professional Mix and Tune

I love this minimalistic tune! Great production. Love the vocal and lyrics. Did you record this at home or in a pro studio? It is obvious you know what you are doing! This is the type of tune that should do well in film and tv. I would pitch it at sites like Hitlicense and Broadjam. If you do that I think you are going to get some action on the song. This genre of tune seems to be really popular in film right now. Nice job man! The song starts out minimal and builds to a nice climax while still remaining minimal. I LOVE IT!

Fantastic

I love your music, the instrumentals are amazingly well done; so for that portion keep it up. As well I feel the same about the vocals, the women singing is amazing at it, just keep doing you. As for the lyric it is also really well done and connects me to what 80 years feel like. R.D aka(Ryan Derasp) Hiphop Artist in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont, Canada

80 years review

Hi Daniel, 1 / Mix and production. Mix as well balanced. Lack of bass on drums and bass is not enough present. 2 / Music : Intro : The arpeggio by guitar acoustic is nice. There is a good progression in the track. On drums I find there are too some delay or reverb. 3 / Vocals : The voice have a nice stamp (good tone). But be carefull, there are many times where the voice is a little false. 4 / Overall : It's a nice track, I would like more rock at the end to take the track higher. Good job. Good luck

Folky and cute

Lush acoustic intro, and breathy female folky vox that follows, it's pretty lovely. The acoustic never clicks or scrapes, the player has a good sense of legato technique. The next transition that starts the beat has a nice echo, pan delay whatever on it that adds a bit more depth until te kit comes in and the pan on the snare is cool. Even as we get to the third verse or chorus more instuments and the mix of them is right on target. I wouldn't specify this as ground breaking or out of the ordinary pop folk tune you'd hear as two adolescent/pubescent lovers wonder about their future in some rom-com, but it just means that the song has a place it can be because it's just cute and lovely. The recordings great quality too.

guitar blues!

Like this one too. Voice is cleared up in a way to comprehend the real message of the song. Tried to listen without sadness. Oh yeah 10 more years & I be 80! My site... http cdbaby dot com / larryaulrich2

Enjoyed the song

I 'love' the vocals. I like the twist in the song. I think it was well thought out and the melody I found to really compliment the lyrics. Excellent!! I found at the beginning I was thinking: what do you mean 80 years is enough?? I'm fifty and those went by faster than you can imagine. Lol. Your beginning intrigued me to hear the entire song. I enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing.

Perfect

A beautiful guitar starts the song and then an even more beautiful voice comes in. And a WOW voice with touching lyrics. Underlying song is an A+. I could tell by looking at the wav file this would be good. A really nice build as the song progresses. The outro was nice. Really fab and really nice job on this. The snare delay thing was a nice idea. Also was a great mix, nice and even and vocals right up front. Love this song!! Absolutely Perfect!

80 Years - Review

This is a simple yet very effective song with great vocal, instrumental and studio production. For me the excellent female vocal could be slightly further up in the mix and the drums could be dryer to give better separation e.g. no repeat echo. But, all in all, I really like this song and I think it's perfect for pitching to film and TV licensing opportunities.

what a great voice.

very Catchy tune. Sounds nice and folk like at the start. I like the way the song builds up and fades out. The only criticism i have is the drums. The drums sound a bit like they are a drum machine. Other then that i really like your work ,so keep up the good work.
