Everyone has a Story

District 6 before&after forced removals 1967

To date I have 1354 subscribers and still counting thanks to you all for sharing and recommending my songs. A big welcome to new subscribers and recently is one from INDIA and another is my nephew Graham, my 1st family member to join my N1M family, I am honored indeed as I can count on one hand the number of close friends and family who’ve subscribed. To the rest of my subscribers I love you and I’m always happy to know you enjoy the music. Everyone has a story! What is your story? Today I’m sure most of us can say “I can write a book about my life” well especially when you’ve reached my age! We all hope to leave a legacy behind us after we have lived a full life. I’m just grateful my music can reach so many people like you across the globe that will one day form part of the legacy I hope to leave behind. To continue from my previous newsletter this picture I’ve attached of District Six before & after, one can clearly see what prized land it was with Table Mountain shadowing in the background. As of today the land still stands bare and unoccupied which is not surprising with all its’ history attached. I was 15yrs old when my mother moved out of District Six to a house on the Cape Flats, areas specifically designated for colored people by the Apartheid government. And that was the start of my public singing and performing for the Cape Minstrels. Enjoy the new song I have uploaded "Holy Holy is the Lamb" Remember that most of my songs are available to buy on most platforms. I am working on those not yet available to buy. Stay safe and blessed, I love you and Jesus loves you, peace, Gobi
