bienCanción muy bien interpretada tanto vocal como instrumental, muy bonita voz, aunque la canción es un poco plana, con un poco más de fuerza, sería una canción extraordinaria, todo tiene arreglo. Song very well interpreted both vocal and instrumental, very beautiful voice, although the song is a bit flat, with a little more force, it would be an extraordinary song, everything has arrangement.
Impressive lyrics with deep emotionThe music is not overly complex but I like the piano tunes, who accompaining the song with basic good feeling. Accentuated violins underline the wonderful melodies influenced by classical music, what brings additional beauty into the song. Sounds really beautiful and creates a great space in the backround. The intro feels like a story and the chorus makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. Gail Best has a unique dynamic voice and brilliant vocal projection and making this wonderful song complete. The romantic passion of the lyrics come from the heart and touching the soul. Overall an impressive composition perfect mixed and mastered. This song could be added to a musical because of the authentic feel. I´m sure you will also enjoy the track.
Positive SongThe lyrics are very touching. That is what the world needs. Continue to share your positive message across the world. Nice musical instruments to bring the emotions to life. Sing it where ever and when ever you can.
Love the world awayArrangement: Piano and vocals are always nice, especially when the artist and accompaniment is done with such a good feeling and emotional balance; such is the case here. Simple is better. Well done! Lyrics: Simple and direct. The idea that one can simply lay in a comfortable zone of contentment, is brought forth in the lyrics of this song; imaginative and idealistic, this artist has portrayed a nice picture of blissful repose. vocals: Gail has a dusky voice, almost bluesy, yet with a touch of tender emotion; I think she reminds me of another well seasoned artist; Janiva Magness. Mix: Again, simple is better. I like the clarity of focus in each track; well blended and distinct. well done! I look forward to hearing some more from this artist. Donivan.
Soothing.Very nice, easy listening... Why not ? We all need this sort of tune from time to time. I like Gail's voice, a real singing, strong one. This number shows that a good song does not need a full band, choir and orchestra to be effective : 'Love the world away' is threadbare material, basically led by a piano and a few strings. And the whole things sounds so good, it could be a welcome break in a big musical comedy soundtrack. I dare not judge the lyrics (I am French !) but they don't sound very ambitious or complicated -is it a flaw for this song, or is it better ? Well, I don't care : thanks Gail for this unpretentious, but very pleasant track.
yes, there is more ...you can easily guess the potential of your voice and in connection with this song it could not be more fitting. if you even musically translate your thoughts, you hear differently - than most listeners. It's easy to find points and corners, sequences - that could be criticized. But no, thanks for that - you and your song, and hopefully more to hear from you.
Love the arrangments!Your arrangements is very nice. I like the composition and style. You have a very nice feel to your music and its on point. And great photo by the way. Stay encouraged, your doing great! Great WORK!

Hello GailGail, this song hit me just at the right time. It has a wholesome feel to it and it reminds me of how life was when my mother was alive for some reason. Maybe it's because it's Mother's Day and she died 6 years ago. But lets forget about the words for a minute, I want to speak on the melody and the way you are singing the song. It takes me to a place of thankfulness but yet sadness. Sadness because like I said the tone and melody reminds me so much of how dear my mother was to me. Your style of delivery is nourishing and remarkably touching. I hear honesty, sincere of heart and compassion. The song makes everything stand still for me while taking me to a part in time that I can never relive again. There is balance, calmness and security in this song and only the listener can relate to what it does to him or her, its unexplainable. You hit a nerve in me with this track that literally immobilizes my thoughts and fix them on a certain place and time in my life that will never, ever be repeated. I kept taking my mouse and starting it over and over. But I couldn't keep doing that because it awakens some of the most cherished memories of my life when my mother was alive. And it is all because of the way you are singing the song. Not the words, nor the message, it's the way you are singing the song. Good job Ms Gail Best this is a great track.
Reminiscent of 70's blue eyed SoulWait for it.. About a minute in she hits her stride ande and you start to feel her. This song will take you back and make you think of lost and new romance. As you hear her get into it more you will too. Enjoy...
I Love It!!!!I don't know if I(personally) would call it Soul Music. To me, it's more like a Power Pop Ballad or Singer-Songwriter style. That's just my opinion though. It kind of put me in the mind of Barry Manilow(one of my absolute favorite music artists). I love it though. The piano is dreamy, soft and smooth. Your voice is great. It's strong and heavy. I really enjoyed this song. I can't wait to find somebody to Love The World Away With. :)

Love " Love The World Away "Beautiful x I am rarely speechless, but the lyrics in this song gripped my inner self and held me until the very end. So smooth is the soulful delivery, you feel you've heard it ten times before. As a entry level pianist, I am in awe over this majestic piece, so complimentary to the voice with strings to boot. Gail's voice is so beautiful and professional, that it's easy to listen and feel the emotion in every word. Absolutely stunning xx
Let Love The World AwayHello. Let me start by saying that I review a song from a commercial point of view, would you be able to pitch this tune to a publisher or artist? The other alternative would be from an artistic point of view and then one either likes the song or doesn’t. The song structure is strong and straightforward.....good job. The melody works well and your production is simple. Not over produced, so the emotional content comes through. Again well done. You have the potential of a strong hook... if it were me I might change the title to “Love The World Away”. The title as it stands is a little unfocused and does not sing easily. The prosody of the song feels a little off to me. I might ask myself do the words of the song feel conversational? In other words would you actually use the phrasing utilized in the song if you were speaking to someone? The marriage of the words to the music is a critical element. The lyrics work fine. Having said that if it were me I would look for stronger word choices that are more descriptive and focus in upon the main idea of the song. You have the start of a nice song and now it’s time for the dreaded re-write....Listen to your favorite songs and see how your favorite artists approach the hook and how their word choices support the hook. Good luck and keep writing! RW
A good begining for a retro AC BalladHi Gail, thanks for picking me and giving me a chance to review your song. First I'd say your song is an AC Ballad and would compete on the same stage as an Adele song and that's a pretty heavy lift for any of us. But aim your the stars and you might hit the Moon. I really like your deep contralto voice and the piano work is very tasteful complimenting the vocal melody well. The melody has a very retro feel in that it stays in two symmetric sections that ascend and descend in small scale like intervals punctuated with really nice hooky scale spikes -larger interval jumps to keep the listener engaged, as well as a nice contrast between faster rhythmical short runs followed by contrasting longer held notes that good singers love because it allows for their natural vibrato and breath technique to be revealed. I feel like your phrasing and word emphasis could be altered a little to make the IDEAS and images reach the listener in a less halting and fragmented way and convey the central concept of the gentle ebb and flow of a conversation with a soul mate. With respect to the lyric we are told by all commercially successful professional lyricists that we should make sure that every word "points towards" and supports our central hook and or title. So I feel like the lyric created an unnecessary conflict in the very 1st verse when you used "let's love the day away" followed by "let's love the World away". IMO you directed me away from your title. I like the contrast between Winter Chill and the warmth of the lover's presence and how the song structure then moves towards that bridge / new melody variation but feel it strays when you go to "this is such a perfect day close the door ...etc". IMO the song may have move of an impact if you wrote a third verse in the same form and melody as verse one return to the 'bridge' melody and repeat your hook and title ( the original 1st idea with variations) as the outro. Your song needs more points of repetition...it needs to "teach me HOW to sing it with you" ! To do that I have to feel able to anticipate certain sections where I can sing along and where I can be quite and listen to new information. Finally IMO i think you need to spell out what the words "Let's Love The World Away" entails: as they say in Nashville you need to SHOW ME not tell me what that means: that concept needs more concrete 'furniture'. Lovely room....add the right type of stuff and who knows who might come sit a while. Keep up the soulful work. Best to you Lucis.
