In order to understand how Funebre came about, we have to go back to the year 2000. Funebre went through significant changes between 2000 and 2003, morphing from a male dominated black metal to its current melodic Goth sound. Funebre began their journey in San Jose, California, way back in early 2000 when teenage Baruch planed Funebre to be a one-man band, but eventually he began to recruit new members. Even at this early stage, Funebre was developing a sound entirely of its own: a darkly neo-classical combination of death metal and more subtle, melodic and acoustic elements that manifest themselves in elaborate melancholic love and death songs which exude imagination, invention and class. Funebre now collaborates with session musicians whenever there is a major event. Since the beginning, Funebre has had the pleasure to share the stage with numerous bands from all over the world. Funebre started as an opening act and climbed its way to supporting act, co-headliner and finally headliner. No matter the situation, Funebre continues to play regardless of their set position. Several demo CD’s have been recorded since 2000 and have been distributed in the US and Mexico. We are hopping to release our full-length album sooner. Current Line up: Baruch S. Fabbri, Deborah Delly, Taylor Fu, Jesse Flores, Bud Stewart and Soon to come.
Funebre has share the stages with Major bands: Deeds of flesh(US), Impaled(US), Enthroned(Belgium), Blood storm(US), Severed Savior(US), Transmetal(Mex), Leprosy(Mex), Grarrovos(Mex) Sons of Chaos(US) | | |
