Nice holiday musicNew York City’s busy composer/arranger Erik-Peter Mortensen has produced a Christmas madrigal arrangement of the popular carol Hark the Herald Angels Sing. The recorded performance is excellent.
Very nice vocal harmoniesI must say that it is not the kind of music I use to listen, but this piece is a wonderful surprise to me. I love the end of the phrase in major chord. The voices come and go, rise and dropt, and cross each others all along this magical balet of harmonies. All is clear and perfecly timed, balanced, and arranged. In my opinion, it could have been even bette with a kind of bridge in the middle, to make the song lasting a little bit more. Congratulations for this great work, sincerely.
HiI like this song A lot. Nice storyline, chord changes, Melody and some instrumental hooks Within. I think the lead break is maybe a bit too long but more importantly the intro is certainly too long before the vocals start. As you are most likely aware of in the music industry A&R makes their decisions to pass or accept within 20 seconds I don't think the vocals start within that time frame. And they don't accept the song based on the intro unless it's something like Satisfaction or Honky Tonk Women by the Stones. For a life performance no problem. I think it's worth repeating that in the music industry music industry players never really listened to the entire song they base their past or accept within 20 seconds. I hope you find this helpful and wishing you the very best with the song
