Greetings! Just want to tug on your coat for a moment. Hope all is well. I played a show in southern Illinois, Blue Sky Winery just outside of Carbondale. I was hoping to be indoors, that was dashed shortly after arriving. So I girded up my left loin. swallowed my disappointment and made the best of a very chilly situation. Fortunately, I brought layers to keep my core temperature in the comfort zone. Loaded up on the gluten free lunch I packed, tuned and re tuned the guitars throughout the gig. There were at least 150 attendees when I showed up and more poured in. So I had my work cut out for me and did my best with thread and needle to keep it together. It was a great learning experience. So what did you learn, Elliott? This is show biz, wear that smile and give it your all and when it gets tuff, hunker down and focus. Ok. Thanks for letting me blather at you. Feel free to blather back. I dig hearing from you.
The song enclosed will be on my upcoming album, Colors Of Autumn. I have yet to schedule studio time, working on arrangements. The vocal still needs to be recorded and perhaps an all new session needed since the audio board it was recorded on decided to quit working and the outboard hard drive won't talk to the new board. Don't know, so wont freak about that. Another Rainy Day was written in the late 1970's and I have since reworked the vocal arrangement. Thanks for listening. I appreciate that you listen to my songs.
