THE NEWS:
Dying Every Day’s sophomore album, "Out of the Dark," is now available in a very limited run of CDs directly by e-mailing info@dyingeveryday.com ($8.99, shipping included), as well as from CD Baby (http://cdbaby.com/cd/dyingeveryday2), which is now in the process of circulating the tracks to digital retailers. Within the next three months, “Out of the Dark” should be officially available from leading online merchants like iTunes (http://www.itunes.com/dyingeveryday), Rhapsody and emusic, among others.
From atmospheric alternative (“Ashes and Bones,” the title track) to rootsy rock (“Green Leaves Falling,” first single “A Lamp Alight”) to blistering metal (“Remains,” Vessels of Wrath”), “Out of the Dark” offers everything you’d expect from a Dying Every Day record, plus a few interesting surprises.
Samples and a free download of "A Lamp Alight" can be found in the Audio section of www.dyingeveryday.com.
THE STORY:
Over the years, Dying Every Day’s Todd Thatcher has produced and played guitar for a number of diverse projects, including alt-rockers Blind Spot, acoustic duo Black & Blue and hardcore-punk band River of Blood. They all come together in Dying Every Day, combining with lush keyboards and pounding beats to create a distinctive sound that is alternately driving and cinematic, raw and beautiful.
After releasing the 2003 demo EP “Bruised/Unbroken,” Dying Every Day returned in 2006 with “The Struggle,” a diverse full-length that spawned the popular digital singles "These Memories Are Scars” and “In the Absence of Light.”
Now DED takes a huge leap forward in songwriting and production with the brand new “Out of the Dark.” From atmospheric alternative (“Ashes and Bones,” the title track) to rootsy rock (“Green Leaves Falling,” first single “A Lamp Alight”) to blistering metal (“Remains,” Vessels of Wrath”), “Out of the Dark” offers everything you’d expect from a Dying Every Day record, plus a few interesting surprises.
Like its predecessor, “Out of the Dark” is available from CD Baby (http://cdbaby.com/cd/dyingeveryday2), and will soon be available from leading digital retailers iTunes (http://www.itunes.com/dyingeveryday), Amazon, emusic, GroupieTunes (ring tones), Into Music (UK) and PayPlay.FM. And with a continually expanding worldwide fan base, Dying Every Day is poised to take this unique sound and vision to a wider audience than ever before. |
