I'm just an old songwriter and, story teller with a guitar... All my studio demos are professionally recorded... The instrumentals and, handful of homemade songs here I recorded myself and, are low audio quality... I wrote all these songs, lyrics and, music but, I'm not singing/playing on the HQ studio demos... They were produced by the highly talented Kim Copeland who put together all the studio work on my project... The male leads were done by the super talented Tim Buppert, Ron Wallace, and Ronnie Kimball and, female leads were sung by the incredible Rachel Williams and, silky smooth Karen Staley; all household names in Nashville... All the tracks were all laid down at Music Row's famous Funhouse Studio... It was a great project and, all songs are radio-ready, high def quality sound in MP3 format... It was a fun time and, I'd love to go back if I ever get the resources to do it...

As for me, I got into making music right out of high school... Been at it ever since... Like with most writers, music is a passion and, also like many Indie musicians it never was a source for making a living... My family, education, and work took me one way in life and, my music just had to follow along for the ride... Through it all, my guitar's never been more than an arm's reach away all these years... I started writing songs as soon as I learned my first chords on guitar and, written many dozens over the years... I'm still tinkering with it to this day... I've never played commercially but, gigged around all over the south every chance I got... From campfires to weddings, parties, city gigs, outdoor festivals, small bars and, a couple of coffee houses here n' there.. I've enjoyed it all and, loved every stage act I ever did... Played with some of the world's best and, it's all been great fun...

When I finally got to Nashville to demo these songs, I had done my homework and, shopped around for a couple of months until I finally found the wonderful, Kim Copeland who I got to produce my project for me... Music Row is a great place to hang out and, I learned a lot from that experience... But, it was some time back now, and I got lucky and, got older... That means I don't hop scotch all over the place giggin' around anymore... I recently retired from the regular guy, make-a-livin' type work grind but, I'll never retire from music and, song writing for as long as I can still do it... I guess I just don't know any better way to do life... I prefer original music to the commercial sounds and, enjoy working with others if, they have something I can get into... If you're looking for some input on something, drop me a note and, if I can help with it, I'll be glad to...

I appreciate everybody who creates real music; not just sound... I am also the biggest fan of music fans; those people who are inspired by and, enjoy music and, are the very reason for it... Music helps make life fun to do... Bright blessings to all... Doug
