dlivr are a 6-piece originals band based in Sydney, Australia. Since forming in 2002, dlivr have been developing, shaping and refining their own unique style, which they interpret as 'urban groove fusion'. The result is a synthesis of styles, including funk, afro-cuban and jazz. Elements from these styles can be recognised with the variety of instruments dlivr utilise live on stage: from djembe to didgeridoo.
dlivr continue to impress crowds at national and international performances. In August 2004, they completed a tour of China, where they played at several festival performances in the city of Chungchun. Closer to home, dlivr have played at numerous venues such as the 'The Vanguard', 'Watson's Bay Hotel', 'Bondi Hotel', and ‘The Basement’ in Sydney, as well as Canberra's 'Church Bar', and the 'Viva la Gong Festival' in Wollongong.
August 2005 saw the completion of their debut album entitled “Home Here". This was launched at ‘The Basement’ to a crowd in excess of 400 people. Following the success of this album, they will be touring the east-coast with their material, whilst preparing for their second album, and maintaining their status as an unique live outfit. |
