Greetings! Haven't been on N1M a lot lately and I apologize. I have been branching out and trying new waters as they say. I got such great feedback from this site that I decided to see how things went on other platforms. I have been doing well on ReverbNation and SoundCloud but really killing it on FaceBook, which was not expected at all, but in the last week I have reached my limit of 5,000 friends and my posts (in the last week) have reached 10,000 likes and been 'loved' 500 times. Thought I would tell a little bit more about myself, now that it's safe to do so. I have a business mentor on the net and he's always saying to share stuff about yourself (this is for musicians,) and I have always gone 'you've got to be kidding!'
So anyway, I've started taking him up on his advice.
My really early life could be compared to the character Schroeder on that comic strip Peanuts. In one strip, Schroeder was next to the stereo, wrapped in a blanket and he told the kid next to him that he always wore a blanket when he listened to Beethoven because he got the chills. Well, when I was in first grade or so, I randomly pulled up Beethoven's 6th Symphony and, yes, I got the chills.
I was well on my way to being quite a little musical snob when The Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. This was just a foreshadowing of changes to come. I always love hearing from you! Awhile back i uploaded Mysterious Horizons and it's been doing pretty good so, as promised I have uploaded 'Life With The Jabberwocky.' Just a disclaimer that this is very different from my usual fare. I guess it's a bit of fun; one of my occasional forays into the old 'Modern Music.'
Anyway I also uploaded a new track called 'Back To The Red Land,' which is me putting the 12 Bar Blues into the Dorian Mode. It was also inspired by the novel I'm writing about ancient Egypt (the Red Land) which will be a movie some day and this track will be the opening.
Hope you're all having a great summer. The summer has been pretty mild here in (expired link). except today it rained and the humidity went up to 75%. Yuch! Reminds me of my summers in Baltimore which i didn't like except when Shuko would bring a six pack around and, oh well..

Hope everyone is well! I have been very busy, as usual. I've written a book and two short stories which are on Amazon/Kindle now and I also wrote a new experimental work called 'Mysterious Horizons' which I just uploaded to this site. As always, I welcome your feedback (it has been mostly very encouraging, thank you!)
One listener, who subscribed to my other newsletter from Twitter, said it sounded like a track from an eighties video game and I expect they thought I would be a bit insulted but I was not. There are some pretty good composers writing for video games.
If this one goes over at all, perhaps I'll upload one that I've never shared anywhere, mainly because it's not my aim to disturb or frighten people. It's called 'Life With The Jabberwocky.' But you never know. Joe Vitale says to share that thing you've been hiding.
