About DICE

John Seeley (born January 13th, 1991) better known as DICE is an American Hip Hop recording artist and song writer from Long Island, New York. Dices music career began following his step fathers passing in 2004 who had raised Dice alongside his mother. Since a baby, Dices biological father had been out of the picture due to drug addiction and lack of support, but this helped Dice begin writing songs dealing with an absent biological father that he barely knew and battling the loss of a recently deceased step father. Alongside writing, Dice began teaching himself how to engineer, mix, master, graphic design, film and edit. This enabled Dice to focus and develop his own work exactly the way he envisioned it.

The name “DICE” was obtained shortly after receiving a gold keychain holding a pair of dice as a gift from his step father. Dice wore the objects as a sign of luck and success. When his step father had passed away, Dice broke the keychain into two and placed one of them under the pillow of his step fathers coffin. Doing this made the thirteen year old feel that no matter how far apart they are, the dice kept the two of them connected.
