Bio of the Artist
Dena’s natural ability and beauty is matched only by her incredible work ethic and desire to improve. Dena is a true champion who always rises to the occasion, whose focus is unwavering, and who has never rested on her laurels. Dena’s will soon be a story of great success; her triumph and notoriety will be entirely deserved and indicative of her unquenchable thirst for perfection in all that she does.

Dena has been featured at the Southern Tier’s top events (including opening for the American Idol stars at ‘Spiedie Fest 2006,’ performing to a five-figure audience at Lockheed Martin’s “Family Appreciation Day” (Owego), performing original material and “The National Anthem” prior to a Binghamton Mets game at NYSEG Stadium, and performing at Binghamton’s ‘Rec Park Music Fest’). Without exception, Dena captivated and dazzled the crowd with top-shelf performances, as always.

Dena has recently been interviewed for TV by News Channel 34 (ABC and NBC affiliate) and WICZ (FOX affiliate), as well as Citadel’s WILD 104 in a live morning-rush segment which featured a live performance. She has also been praised by Gannett’s Press & Sun Bulletin and BUZZ Magazine. The critics agree: Dena is the next big thing and the pride of the Southern Tier.

Dena is entirely aware that practice and effort are the cost of greatness. She’s taken more than twelve years of dance instruction and more than six years of vocal instruction to date. She has performed in 10 plays, including lead roles in ‘Sound of Music,’ ‘Godspell,’ ‘West Side Story,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ ‘42nd Street,’ and ‘The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.’ Dena was awarded a perfect 100% for her NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) vocal solo as a freshman. Dena bested some of the best talent from around the nation at The Show Choir Camps of America (Tiffin, OH at the Heidelberg College) in 2000, and in Syracuse, NY at the Access Broadway competition in March of 2005. In her young life, Dena has already logged thousands of incredible performance hours in all, including a recorded performance on MTV’s ‘Total Request Live.’

Dena recorded and independently released her acclaimed EP ‘The Way You Look at Me’ in April '06. The first pressing sold out in about 4 months. Coming next is Dena’s full-length CD to be released this summer '07, and things are about to shift into high gear for this incredible artist. Part of what makes Dena so special is that she’s ready.
