Hello everyone...! How are all of you doing today? I hope you all have a pleasant day and weekend, to start things off here. I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to ALL my ongoing and brand NEW subscribers to Defective Monk! It is SO GREATLY APPRECIATED! The last time I checked when I sent mass subscriber email, I was right around 320 subscribers, and many of you have helped get me over the 400 mark of this week! Much gratitude to all of you! So this bring me to... Some excitement tonight! I am premiering my NEW music video, "Shifting Evil", off my latest album release "Dirty Language" - I have had to put a lot of effort into this and time, since editing one music video takes longer to do, than recording a 6 song EP with it recorded and mixed properly. CRAZY right...?!?! Anyway, this is one of my favorite songs of the album, just because it's "technically" the oldest song on the album, an because I never did any demo recordings previously on it, and remembered it enough to get it performed and recorded on the album this year. This video is very dark, because it's essentially about the changes and shifting of evil, in a nut shell - High energy, intensity, and aggression, along with the video's dark coloring, permeates throughout the video, with a lot of quick snapshots moving throughout the video and the many changes in the music itself - I use at least 7 or 8 different guitar riffs/chords to accomplish these many changes, plus throw in a keyboard solo instead of a guitar solo for another "shift"/change in this song and video. This is my first video I have tried to record as professional as possible, so let's see how it goes...! So please check out my video tonight on YouTube, or whenever you get a chance...
