Dead Reckoning is an unstoppable metal band from Fort Benning GA. We have created much of our own sound by taking bits and pieces of every genre we love and smashed it together to make what is our sound today! K-OS is proud to bring back the killer solos the big amps and show the world old metal isnt dead! He started this band in 2012 when he was still Active duty in the U.S. Army with a few other soldiers. Once he got out of the Army the band morphed into the bad ass high tempo band it is today. Huge influences from Zakk Wylde and George Lynch when it comes to lead and solos, but adding the new age styles of bands like Lamb of God or Killswitch Engage. Goal is to bring back the old days and mix it with the heaviness of new age metal!!

The Brain
The hardest position for us to fill. After about 10 bassists we met Brian (The Brain), he had played in another band opening for us at one of our first gigs. His ability on the bass is one of the best i have heard in years with influences like Cliff Burton you can guess why. He also has a natural ability for writing lyrics and has helped Steve with new ideas.

After a few changes the band found Ryan. At the time he wasnt a metal drummer and barely played double bass but his top end work was impossible to push away. Within days he was already playing double bass better then some that have for years. His style helped shape Dead Reckoning into the powerhouse we knew it could be

Dead Reckoning is an unstoppable metal band from Fort Benning GA. We have created much of our own sound by taking bits and pieces of every genre we love and smashed it together to make what is our sound today! We have been told we sound like a mash up of Lamb of God, Slayer ,Black Label Society, Slipknot and now even some Killswitch! Taking the heavier edge, we love and bringing back the mind numbing solos from the past. Nothing beats thunderous drums, heavy vocals, killer bass riffs and a screaming lead guitar!!! Time to get rid of the cookie cutter bands and music and get back to our roots kicking ass! We pride ourselves in being able to please every fan no matter what genre you are into we have something for you!!! So sit back relax and prepare for you mind to be melted!
Dead Reckoning was formed by Mike K-OS Spriggs at the time an active duty soldier stationed at Fort Benning GA in the spring of 2012 with the goal to mix old and new metal elements to create something powerful, lasting and unique. He began to build a foundation from bands like Slayer, Lamb Of God, Children of Bodom, BLS, Pantera and many others to create what has become the Dead Reckoning Sound. Ryan Lake has taken over on Drums to bring true clarity and power to the rhythm section with fast pummeling rolls and dynamic foot work. On Bass, Brian Silverstein is now holding down the low end with a bass finger style reminiscent of Iron Maiden and early Metallica with his killer sound. New vocalist Curt Esparza was once the bassist for us and found himself down a different path but once he heard we were looking for a new singer he quickly made his way back. Within days of tryouts he was signed to the band with a very unique sounding range of screams, growls and even cleans bringing us to a new level for upcoming albums. Dead Reckoning now stands ready to make their charge down the path of world domination, now as a national touring band looking to reset the world's mind on metal and get back to our ass kicking roots.
