| Bio of the Artist |
Born and raised on Maryland's Eastern Shore Joseph Evaristo a.k.a. (DA TRYFE M.C.) emerged as a force in the RAP world. A prolific lyricist and song stylist and writer who combines elements from both north and south to create his sound and Mid Atlantic style of Hip Hop. From the small city of Salisbury, the product of Asian Pacific (Guam) father and White/Native American mother, TRYFE draws inspiration from a diverse background ,childhood and twisted upbringing. With an early love for music he studied the violin and trombone in school until difficulties led him from the books to the streets. Fueled by a hunger to overcome his particular disadvantages he used thoughts and words as a vehicle to drive down a long highway of experiences. After spending a year in Atlanta and an unsuccessful stink with a fledgling independent label, undiscouraged, TRYFE made the best of a bad situation taking the advice and knowledge passed on by those he worked with during this period, namely rapper Y.Z. And producer NO I.D., he continued to hone his skills along with management and production team at EB-ZAR Ent.. In addition to his team TRYFE has worked with other noted producers such as CORPARAL, D-MOODIE and AV-ACE. After a productive tour through France touching base with a growing fan base there, TRYFE has extended his repetoire with productions from Europes' hottest up and coming producers like, D.J. STEADY, MELODIOUS, WARNER, AURELIOUS and TONE TONE of LA BRIGADE. These joints can be heard on the French website Vraitruc.com hosted by PUPAZ.
Recognized for his energetic performances TRYFE has opened up for the likes of LIL JON, The artists of D. BLOCK, Mr. CHEEKS, CHICO DeBARGE, CAPONE N' NORIEGA, CRAIG MACK, D.J.'s RON G. and S.&.S. and has collaborated with a host of the local talent.
After ten plus years on the local radio stations OC104 and MAGIC 98.9, it seems like DA TRYFE M.C. is now out to show why he is "THE LOWER EASTERN SHORES #1 DRAFT PICK!"
