Damon's call and desire as a Worship Evangelist, is to see not only the heart of worship come alive, but to see the hearts of people come to know Christ more passionately. In John 4:21 “Jesus declared…yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (NIV)
For this reason, God placed on Damon's heart a desire to go and lead those who are hungry for His presence through anointed worship and preaching . The Lord spoke to him that he would be sent out to the nations to lead and minister through worship, intercession and speaking, being part of the renewal move that the Holy Spirit has begun.
Damon's call to worship and ministry began when he was a child. His parents, who are pastors still today, played a large role in his passion for Christ and the church. Worship music and biblical teaching was a constant in his home and church, where he was raised in an atmosphere of love with God’s presence being real and personable. With lessons and family encouragement, music became a part of life during the elementary and high school years. From piano, band, and choral groups, God was preparing Damon for what would be his life’s calling—worship.
Damon has been actively involved in the church from being a worship pastor, leader and speaker for the last ten years, and today serves as one of the worship leaders at his home church, Northwest Assembly of God in Mount Prospect, IL. |
