Bio of the Artist
Colortronic is a contemporary electronic music project that blends sounds and colors in a metaphysical approach. A materialization of Denis Kandle`s synesthesia and researches, where sound waves, and its respective colors, textures, etc, create specific atmospheres, landscapes and emotions within each song.

Colortronic was born in 2002 after a two months journey around California. The first live P.A. was in Electro Beach Rave, on the New Year's Eve of 2003 on Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Colortronic has performed in Culturall (FM radio program, Rio), Electric Head (Bunker 94, Rio), Ecorave (Macumba Beach, Rio), StormLab (Rio), E-Movement (Ilha, Rio), Taquicardia E-Party (Rio) and so on. Colortronic was one of the selected names to play in PLUG festival in 2004. PLUG is a project which main focus is to discover new names in the Brazilian electronic scene. Colortronic also produced the soundtrack for Ricardo Arita in "Fashion Rio" in 2003. During January 2004 Colortronic was on the cover of Fiberonline, one of the biggest Brazilian websites dedicated to electronic music ("With several presentations in Rio's effervescent scene, this project is one of the new names to tame the genres war. They navigate with competence between trance and techno, risking even more climatic textures reminding Ibiza."). Colortronic was also a Featured Artist in UBL on December 2006. UBL is the Mecca of independent music, considered by ARTISTdirect as "the ultimate online destination for independent bands, their fans, and the music lovers and industry insiders who want to discover them".

Sonic Rainbow is the name of Colortronic's debut album, with 12 songs accompaining the colors of the rainbow (label: ResearchMusic.com, publisher: Art of Doing Publishing, Inc./BMI). The album is for sale in iTunes since Feb. 20th, 2007 and on other 100 online stores around the world (Microsoft/ZUNE, Emusic, Rhapsody, etc).

Denis Kandle started deejaying in 1997 as a guest DJ for the radio program EP Vanguarda (Imprensa FM, Rio de Janeiro - Brasil), broadcasting the latest tracks in rock and electro. He was the resident DJ of Incense (the first psy-trance party ever held in Rio), Mantra, Nextribe, Hypnotica and Electrolounge. In 2001 Kandle was one of the attractions of Rock in Rio III Festival (Electro Tent). He also played in Aloca (São Paulo) and currently, with DJ Alexey, is resident of Colortronic E-Station.
