The Beggar
Introducing a new song: "The beggar". A song of healing and what Jesus did back then. The bible says in Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. To me this means Jesus is still doing these things today. This is part of the new covenant that Jesus paid the price for with His Blood. He proved to be the way and the truth and the life because of the resurrection from the dead. This is my musical version of this event, may it is a blessing to you as much as it was a blessing to me in doing it. Beggar: One who asks (as for a favor or gift) humbly.
Story behind the song
I looked into the bible for what it said about healing. It was amazing. I found that it is part of the new covenant that God has made to man in the new testament. It was all purchased on the cross for us by the Lord Jesus. It does me well to know this covenant signed with His Blood for I am doing better. Had some heath issues in the past and I was running to and fro trying to find answers. Just seemed people could not do too much for me. The doctors just wanted to put me on medication and tell me that I would probably be on this for the rest of my life. Being a Christian I had a hard time with that, way down deep in my heart I just felt my God could help me. My dear mother, a firm believer in the healing power of God would take the time everyday to talk to me on the telephone, I would call her out of desperation. Her encouragement would always be positive, cling on to the promises of God she would say. Learn the promises and confess them as your own and the devil will flee from you. Well it took awhile to get that thru my thick skull because of all the unbelief I had in my mind. For man's system all around us bombards us with unbelief all day. To overcome unbelief you need truth and I do believe the truth is in the scriptures. So I set myself to learn what God had to say about healing. I must say God is willing and able and He has not changed. As I believe more and more in His favor toward me and I am getting better and better and the fear is being dissipated more and more in my life because I am believing in the Fathers love for me more and more. So this is how this song came about. Hopefully it will help others to believe too.
