Funky, Funkin', Funk!
Wow! Listening to Chris Meijer's tune "Funkin' God In Me" instantly took me back to that Funkin' band the "Funkadelics"! This song is so funky ,in fact, it was hard for me to put into words the feeling I got wanting to to turn it up even loader than my setup would allow! I can't wait to jump in my car, get that Detroit Lean goin' on and drive nice and slow with that bass thumpin' and my head noddin', I tell ya this is what real funk is all about. Please do yourself a favor and dig the groove in this tune. Loved it! I give it 5 Stars.

"Funky God in Me" is as funky as it wants to be. Man the funk in this track has that nasty get down low groove. The unique flow and awesome blend of the horn section is amazing man! Then fore you to in crude the fusion of Lead guitar, WOW! The guitar solo is BANGIN BRO! The infusion of that hammond B3 sound completes the music side of the track. The vocals and the superb mix if the song shows the professional and seasoned work of a true pro! Keep the Funk alive and keep doing what you do Chris Meijer....

Funkin!
I really like this track. The vocals are clear and understandable and the backing horns and organ really work. The vocals again are in tune along with the backing rhymes. The lead guitar was well done but I'm not certain that a clearer lead may have worked better rather than fuzz,,, perhaps a bit more jazz like? Another suggestion in the ending would be to instrument it out instead of a chorus repeat??,,,just saying. Great job everall!

Chris Meijer. A hey creative track that adds slot of guitar solos and great keyboard work. The a very funky song man !!! Maybe add live horns on your next cut to help add punch and fullness. I'm a keys and horn cat , and this I know and something to think about.

Nice groove
The groove is infectious, love the guitar riffs in the beginning of the song, the words have a jazzy feel to it all in all cool song that you can groove to. i gave it a 4 1/2 for the creativity. Good job!!!!

Not bad at all!
gives off a hint of laid back stoner like vibes. There is certainly nothing like this in the music industry. This piece certainly needs some recognition. We would recommend this for sure!! we hear lenny kravitz!

Keep on Funkin'
One of the things I like most about Number One Music is that I know I'll hear a wide variety of music from talented indie artists around the world. This is a great example of a fun song I'd never hear on regular radio here in the states. Funky, fun, great beat and perfect for playing at an outdoor party during the summer time. Cool groove. Well produced and the instrumentation is spot on.

Funkin God In Me. What a kool song. Great sounds! Great Groove! Killer in your face brass! What more could you ask for? Maybe some female background singers? Maybe a tray of Swedish meatballs on a plater while you sit back in your Ikea lounger with your feet up on your coffee table sipping on an ice cold akvavit, Yea, Funkin God In Me!

You got it 'going ON! with it on 'this' one, man. I really like the Johnny Guitar Watson funky groove you put on it with your 'own' spin. The B3 sound and the horns are spot on. The lead guitar is really 'sweet', too. The whole track just seems to take you for a smooth ride the way you laid it out. What more can I say? Good Job/Work to everyone on this take.
