Last Night I Had A Dream is a strictly Fusion piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Fusion style and even the singer has a Fusion voice as I said everything recalls the Fusion genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Fusion piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

It really has that Country-Rock sound I'm sure it would make people want to get up and dance (like Line-dancing especially) ! Very nice guitar picking as well as good sounding vocals ! Nice creative take on the construction of the whole sound...I like how it starts off , the long intro makes you think it's an instrumental (almost stopped listening but it was a nice surprise). I could enjoy listening to 'Last Night I Had A Dream' at an outdoor music concert with a lot of hoopin' an howlerin' lol . Good job!

GOOD UP BEAT COUNTRY TUNE GOOD AND SMOOTH instrumental introduction thAT IS FOLLOWED BY A STORY OF A COUNTRY LADY. Vocals are good and clear and the bass and drums blend with fiddle and guitaar and steel to drive this song on and on . Take a minute or to to enjoy this fast driving tune, all blebds in together to create a nice package to listen to. Every thing calls for a nice song to enjoy.

Last Night I Had a Dream

LOL. Can't stop laughing. What should I say? From the first time I heard your first dream song, I have to say I really had reservations about reviewing this song. Now I can say sorry. ;) You got me. This is a really different spin on country music for sure. Not too sure what Hank and the others would think, but I would definitely say that you have created a new genre. Psychedelic Country? lol Very interesting, but captivating, mixture of country and ??? Great music, interesting but tight musical twists, reputable vocals, and interesting enough to keep most squirrel chasers attentive. lol Keep up the great work. Blessings, Trev. :)

Original

Original stuff. The only thing that makes this "country" are the lyrics. Auto tuned vocals seem a little over done. I like the slide guitar. The drums sound pretty processed. I get the idea of what you were going for with this, melodic vs's with a strong hook, it just doesn't land. The "rock" guitars during the choruses seems too loud in the mix. Catchy lyrics. Overall a strong effort.

Chaser has achieved a very interesting amalgamation of sounds and has created a very intriguing sty. It is a combination of folk, rock, country, and rap. Yes, folk, rock, country, AND RAP...and it's pretty wild sounding stuff! The extended introduction which lasts a full half of a minute is total finger style acoustic folk guitar at which time a quirky rapper that sounds just like Eminem starts in talking about his dream, the central theme of the song. After a short rap the rapper starts into singing about this dream in a very confused and emotional voice. This is truly compelling to the listener and really draws you in. Meanwhile, the roots rockin rhythm guitar is keeping the beat pumping in the background. The entire Chaser ensemble going full tilt boogie is really something to hear as a listener. Even there's a lot going on, it's all orchestrated with a loose precision that is really something to behold. The whole thing comes around three hundred and sixty degrees at the end to the outro which ends with the same simple finger style acoustic guitar progression with which the song started. Just like a dream. Even with the humble production methods and tools available to them, they did an awesome job painting this aural landscape in my mind. The mind of the listener. What a dream!

Vanguard Country

Hi Chaser, your song doesn't have a lot of Country elements that's why I'm not sure if you could or should call it Country, at most I would say it is a kind of vanguard Country or crossover Alternative/Country. If you call it Country most Country listeners will be disappointed, because it doesn't meet their expectations. However the feel of the song is interesting, I like the opening part at most. Other than the music the lyric has a lot of Country cliches. For me the lyric is not the best at all, but especially for this kind of Alternative Country I would expect something more sophisticated. Probably this style is not commercial viable, but you may find a niche of listeners who like this mix and feel. Good luck!

I like your song it kinda had a Jason Aldean sound to it which is a good thing! Lol ???? The beginning started out a lil' bit slow but as it played on it picked up the beat! You have an amazing voice and should keep on singing! You have a bright future ahead of you in my opinion!! ????

This is a steam punk rendition of a country song that revs your motor to high speed with the images of a candy floss dream painted of a "pretty mamma who makes the best buttermilk biscuits in a pretty blue dress" The lyrics captures the imagination while the fast paced guitar and bass give you a desire to know more. Maverick in it's conception with a few twists and turns in the road including a back up bass guitar that hits chords that make the piece memorable. I loved the understated percussion in this piece that drives it forward. Loving this Chaser, this time you outdid yourself. Sounds quite untypical!

I like the syncopated guitar intro, tasty slide and a other worldly vocal. The tune is off kilter but rocks and has a ton of energy. Reminds me a little of Colt Ford but with a rougher edge. Definitely cut from it's own cloth. The crunchy guitar and soaring chorus. The melody keeps moving which I find interesting. Progressive country is what I'd call it. Like if Yes or Rush was a country band. This band has a good thing going thanks for the listen and best wishes!

This song was quirky fun and really original. Loved the clever way you put it together, and the glue that holds this song to the theme. Very listenable and should appeal to country music fans.
