And what vocals! Adam Little’s voice is an amazing powerhouse, and is assisted delicately with the backing vocal prowess of Tabby Johnson who never overpowers him. I like the way the song develops with just Adam, and then begins to fill out, with the beautiful sounding 80’s synthesizer initially being the main instrument, and then the band gradually joins in, percussion, guitars and horns. Like fellow Canadian Gordon Lightfoot’s wonderful ‘The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,’ wunderkid Antonio Mendez and his World Studios have come up with a tuneful and playful song that has no obvious chorus, which is both refreshing and risky in this world of instant ‘Moon in June’ cute little one hit wonders. There is so much going on in this song that the listener doesn't even notice as they try to discern between the multitude of instruments coming in and going back out, intertwined with the amazing vocals and playful lyrics. Like the song title, this very cool slice of vibe does feel very jazzy, without being too jazzy. Antonio, you’ve done it again! Highly recommended.
