It is different in the way that Jim Morrison was different and unique to the 60's. The singing and approach brought to mind INX but with a better approach. When the song first started I was like Okay what is this but the little guitar part captured my interest. It started building and when the singer finally started singing I thought Wow no this guy can sing. I think that is why Morrison and INX came to mind the sing had that same quality and charisma. This is unlike the generic dribble you would hear if you turned on your radio, this is real music and the kind of music that should have evolved out of the 80's and 90's rock. It's edgy and not a full on rock song but something different and exciting that pulls you in and makes you listen. How these guys have not been discovered and signed already amazes me. To all the record companies out there "SIGN THESE GUYS UP" if this is a sample of the music they produce then I can't wait to hear more. The band was in the pocket and the sound was tight and the singing was just fantastic. As a singer myself I am jealous of just how good this guy sounds. I was totally blown away and when I saw they were from South Africa I was even more impressed. These guys have to be bigger in South Africa than the Sugar Man was when his records were being played. It is becoming clear to me that the bands around the world have kept rock alive and well and taken it in a new direction as evident as soon as you listen to this song. Templeton, keep up the good work and keep on rocking. I can't wait to hear what's next from you and I'll be waiting with baited breath to hear it.

The addition of the horn section adds a genuine touch of New Orleans soul and the interplay between the horns and the bluesy, ballsy guitar solos are really unique in todays music landscape. The loping bass line isnt complicated but sounds very 60ish, almost Pink Panther theme-ish. In the middle section, where the horn solo is followed by guitar solo, the backing music seems to drop out a tad, making what should be a robust highlight a tad thin, but really splitting hairs as this is just a great sounding tune and refreshingly different!

more Felt like I was listening to a powerful mix of Alan Parsons, Genesis and Journey. I feel it needs more variation, but it is good, perhaps even great; the song requires variation.
However, if you couldn't imagine listening to and watching this in concert, then you've not got good ears.

But then it just grows and made me feel engaged. It's such a cool sound and mix of different musical genres. It's definitely a song that would be a great addition to any rock or alternative music station. Great job, thanks for posting it.
