And spins in the club...you are a seasoned artist that knows his talents very well..it takes a lot of dedicated experience to construct a great song that's catchy! I believe that you have what it takes to give hip hop a run on bigger stages.. Most artist in the industry nowadays are pure garbage in my personal opinion !!sick n tired of the Mumble jumbo without any substance...

Professional work all around. Perfect production of a catchy song with a great melody and strong vocals. Little guitar riff is perfectly mixed in to make it tasty but not take over the song. The song is straight and to the point while clocking in under 3 minutes - which is perfect as I play it again and again. Backing vocals are a great blend with the lead in the "Only You..." parts. Nice bridge and breakdown and then kick back in with the guitar riff again. It's nice that instead of some cliche bridge that one might expect, this mid section just works off what is already going on in the song to keep a continual flow of the groove. I look forward to hearing more from Ross Seddon, and based on this track I expect to hear some great music in the future!

Jazz improvisations and this one pleases me a lot. The Jazz and bossa nova mix always go together so I quote Frank Sinatra and the great and unforgettable Tom Jobim united around a theme THE MUSIC.

more I enjoyed your composition and performance very much. This song to be very pleasant with a mood that went well with your theme and your mellow voice works very well with the style, genre and mood as well.
I would like to extend some constructive criticism that may help you to take the song even further, although it was definitely well done.
Watch out that your voice is not competing against an instrument that has similar timbre. (for example, around this phrase ‘I realize your hesitation..’) This happens early in your song and the accompaniment should support and blend with the voice not overshadow it. Your voice is delightful, I found myself wanting to hear it more. Once in a while the sound is a little pushed…perhaps relaxing your jaw and just trusting your sound. .. This is the usual cause (along with neck tension or head posture) but you may take some time and try to notice where the tension is coming from. Using a variety of vocal dynamics and variations in tone especially with the chorus or repetitive phrases can be very effective to create more emotion with your vocals.
There were some spotty moments were the listener hears breaks in the flow of sound. This may be due to recording technology issues.
I like the positive message about someone willing to keep trying in the relationship; not giving up.
The overall form of your composition was balanced. Your song had a very nice guitar solo with an excellent placement in the arrangement to make it interesting. Rests and changes in arrangements are as important and melody and harmony, the effective creation of tension to release of tension, whether in lyrics, voice or accompaniment. Nicely done!

Mixing and mastering is brilliant. All instruments really stand out.when listening to this song. Vocals are exactly where they should be on a track of this quality. Lyrics really tell a story and stand out. I can see why you're number 1 :) Love your music...

more The song has joyful "Motown" feel to it... that's coming from a lad who was fond of Detroit's soulful songs. This song has a funky groove from jump. And the "flute" sound along with the hand clapping sets the tone for this song of praise! Love it.
The vocals are easy to follow, and the lyrics profound in their utter simplicity. A child or senior can join in with no problem, and that makes this song a crowd pleaser to the max. This is a great song to get everyone up and praising God - anytime - anywhere.
The back and forth banter as the lead singer talks to the band members is a nice place to bring it down, and then take it back up and out! That short talk and the quoting of 1JN.4:19 makes this song extra special - and powerful! The laughing and background talking makes the song sound live and exciting. Great arrangement and creativity...
Overall, I have to say this song was just pure fun to listen to, (Ear Candy) of the 1st class. This is a righteous song top to bottom. The band's funky - bouncy rhythm makes you want to get up and dance to the Lord. This is one special song! The only thing that might have spiced it up would have been a stronger exit - guitar/piano, and maybe some guitar jamming as the song faded, and perhaps a little more vocal pizzazz going home.
Thanks for sharing such a fantastic song with all of us. Keep writing and singing your songs - they're wonderful!!

Hollowpoint are purveyors of 80's themed Metal, comparisons can be made to Loudness, Dokken, Priest and Maiden but only stylistically, the band have their own sound...and they deliver the goods in spades on Stand Up. The first thing I notice when listening to this type of music is that the vocalist usually is the weakest link in the band, not so with Hollowpoint. The vocalist here delivers a powerful and rocking performance, he combines the perfect amount of grit and attitude to keep the track driving and enjoyable. In my opinion his performance is pretty near flawless, there are no awkward moments where you're thinking "he didn't quite hit that note" or "that phrase was a little off"...I think that is why I liked it so much. After hearing dozens of tracks in this vein I finally got to hear a killer band do it justice and have me banging my head like I was 16 again. Some of you might be thinking "what good is a vocalist without the band behind him", and you'd be right. The band is also awesome, the riffs are tight and well thought out. They have certain amount of catchyness to them that really moves the song forward. I think my favorite part was the Maiden-esque style of the solo, really great stuff...it doesn't try to go from some meaningless face melting shred, just plays a deliciously engaging melody that is instantly memorable. As for as the production of the material goes, the recording is awesome as well. All the instruments are well balanced in the mix and sound punchy and in your face. What can I say that I haven't already said, great song by a great band that sounds great, Hollowpoint I salute you, the Metal flows through your veins...Christopher Carrion XXX
