Bio of the Artist
CHAOSPHATE is made up of 2 founding members, Josh Pollard song writer and music producer and Xavier Frost song writer and vocalist met up in the summer of 2005. Josh Pollard a local CT. musician who plays most instruments and is exceptional on drums and guitar. He has played in many bands such as Disgust, 3 After, The Balance Factor, and Dystfunction. He also created and was in the original Chaosphate which was a Death Metal band in 2003.
Xavier Frost also has an extensive musical background. Xavier's parents were both professional singers who had a serious run in the 70's and were hugely popular in Las Vegas. He toured the world as a child with his parents, before they retired and settled in Bridgeport CT. Xavier grew up singing in many bands since he was 14. He sang for Sudden Impact, Exit 13, Focus 8, Demon's Blood, The Fallen, Stompin Ground, S.O.S. Co-creator of Mugshot and original singer before it became Mugshot Militia. After a brief hiatus Xavier put together the band Strike The Assassins.
Dan Blades is from the Milford CT. area and had a tough childhood but as he forged through found escape through his talent and extreme musical ability, he has played for many bands as well, Life Drowning, Falling Apart, Fifth Envy, Strike The Assassins, Running from Reality. He then joined the Strike The Assassins band, the project Xavier had created. But as the band grew, a couple members had college to think about and were wished well upon their departure.
Then Dan and Xavier created the band, Running from Reality. They were joined by an amazing drummer Shawn Cavanaugh from Derby, CT. who is now currently in the band The Dying Complex, and the God of Shred Erix McCuch on guitar from Stratford, CT. and P.G. Iron Mike Fensore on Bass from Milford, CT. During that time Xavier met up with Josh and started creating a new approach to great music, mixing styles of what was once and still is great with styles that are current and modern and are equally amazing to produce what will be considered the Future of Metal/Hard Rock music with a touch of Goth. Since the Running from Reality band was moving slowly Dan, Shawn and Erix joined the CHAOSPHATE team thus forming the Original line-up.
Originally the band was called Strike The Assassins after Xavier's former band but later was changed to CHAOSPHATE as there were already too may bands using the 'Assassin' name and the Xavier & Josh didn't want to be confused with other bands of similar names, so they agreed to go with the former project of Josh's. Thus was born the CHAOSPHATE of today.
Today CHAOSPHATE is still going strong after many shows here in CT. and we have a aquired a New AMAZING Booker/Agent Sherrie at 667 Entertainment who hopefully will become our full time manager and take the ride with us to the top. We have come back from a few Major roster changes(once again we wished our fellow teamates well on their journeys) which at one time caused our momentum & touring to be cut short. Now Back on track the band CHAOSPHATE has completed a 14 song album titled CHAOSPHATE 'The Prophecy' With new music on the horizon for the upcoming 2nd album. We also aim to write a sequal to the Fan Favorite 'Darkenss Eternal' which we hope to land on the third Underworld Movie installment. As well as securing a spot on the upcoming PS3 video game smash hit 'Devil May Cry' and Grand Theft Auto. Also we are trying to get our sources to lock us onto the New Batman 2 or 3 movie soundtracks.
There is No stopping us! We will Not Fail our Fans who have been so Amazing to us! It is their support that has kept us in the Game and Moving Forward! We are All About Our Fans!
Xavier and Josh still at the core, and still find time to hang out and create some new music so Outstanding it's going to make the industry heads turn. The band is on its way back to its original Goal which is to bring the 'People' the next step in Music's Evolution, a combination of style, good rythems, aggressive sub-notes with it covered in a Darkend Gothic Futuristic sound that will serve as the 'Next Gen' in our music!
We have begun work on the New Album and expect a launch date in late 2008! We will keep Everyone Posted!
We know that some want us to go back to our Heavier roots. We know some of you may not like our style, vocals, or genre we understand each music fan has their own style(s) of metal they like more then others, and we strive to put a song on our albums that almost every style of Rock Fan, be it Metal, Hard Rock, Goth, Rock, Experimental Rock for the listeners. We aim to bring a Quality Product back to our Genre. We Respect and Love all styles of music. Many of us in CHAOSPHATE have extensive backrounds in many styles from Death Metal to Hard-Core to Rythem & Blues to Speed-Metal, Thrash-Metal, Punk, to Classical, and Jazz. So we truly hope that you may find something that does not offend the ear while listening to us. LOL!
