Cate Rich, singer-songwriter teams up with Brendon McDonnell of Nightwing Productions to produce new music, starting with the album "Epiphany" and acclaimed songs "I Realize" a Cate Rich, ASCAP singer-songwriter, was born “Catherine Carney” in Oceanside, New York. Catherine’s father was from Donegal Ireland and mother American born. Catherine had music running in both sides of her family including a great aunt who was a featured opera singer in the early 1920’s. When Catherine was a teenager she would sing at piano bars with her father - country songs. With influences Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and rock influences Joan Jett, Pat Benatar.. there is a them of country rock that ends up in the music presentation of many Cate Rich songs.

Catherine became interested in singing and songwriting very early on. She attended the Dickerson school of Performing Arts where she studied music and theatre. Many say that Cate’s style is theatrical at times and this is probably because her roots were in the theatre. Cate also took private opera lessons and then started stage performing in New York City, singing only Cover songs.

In her mid-teens, she realized she had a great passion for song writing and began a journey which would lead to several dozens of songs upward of 100 until the present date.
