Wide Fields - by carcouche

WOW.... imagine Hans Zimmer and Patrick O'Hearn and Mark Isham deciding to score a Moving Art film with Louie Scharwtzberg.... THAT is what this track IS....! close your eyes and let your most beautiful and vivid memories or imaginations come to life.... deeply inspiring ! the intro is a pulsing synth that clears a fog of uncertainty with a building cello section bringing a mood of confidence.... a timpani helps the song stride into a fuller essence of mission and determination, as the oboe lifts your minds eye to the Wide Field of view you now have while the song completes its first level of emotional saturation.... then a pause..... a moment to breathe and reflect and survey the moment at hand..... delicate and sparsely arranged, until the full vista of the orchestra and choir and synths envelope you in sound again, filling space with emotion and inner visions....... and at the end, the piano and choir gently and restfully lead us back out into this real world, looking for another Carcouche track to add to your playlist !!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Good job

True film music. Listening to it, is easy to imagine boundless spaces, or tormented characters, on the threshold of important decisions, to leaders who look at their conquests from above, to captains of sailing ships, which scan the horizon, in a crescendo of tension. Track suitable for both a science fiction film, an action movie, a drama or a thriller. The iece is well constructed, and the acoustic effects are adequate. As a cue for improvement, I would enrich the sound of more personal and realistic orchestral effects. Furthermore I would try to insert more original melodic themes, but this is only an opinion. Your work is of good quality

good

I like this kind of composition because it reflects a bit what I identify with the word music. there is a mix of harmonies and sounds expertly mixed together that form a splendid soundtrack.. good job

Wide Fields

Great production! Great composition and musical arrangement. Impressive use of Acoustic piano and synthesizer keyboard, string arrangements, creating undertones for emotional, orchestral theme. I love the drive of the drums and use of crashing Cymbals showing versatility, Beautiful melody in the breakdown with Grand piano which adds dynamics to the structure of this piece. I have found this to be genuinely entertaining! I would highly recommend this film music for Feature film. All the best.

i think You definitely have a tremendous nack for building intriguing film score. I listen to your soundtrack I could not help but think about sync licensing...Most songs like yours that are very Epic fit in nicely to that platform. The sectional contrast and instrumentation is dramatically done with such style, integration and insight that I'm fascinated with every piece you produce. Thx , have fun and greats from the dudes from austria!! letz rock :-)

The Orchestra Pit

Helpful

As in a previous review about the production I believe it has been done on one keyboard. Well put together if so. Having a real orchestra can be expensive, unless you have a lot of good friends whom play real instruments that don't mind doing it. Then the musician needs paying for their input through provision of transport costs, food etc. There are moments where real instruments seem to be there like the cello bass rattle which give it some depth. It has space and contrast, but for me it has a formulaic build which is too obvious. It needs more bits where it maybe sounds to be about to fall apart on the brink. Playing on the edge.

Superb Music for a Movie!

Helpful

There was terrific orchestration throughout the piece. To me - it sounded like the soundtrack of a movie and reminded me of the pulsating, energy and emotion of the "Gladiator" movie theme tune. It would definitely be a great accompaniment to any movie. There is subtle undulation from piano arpeggio, to enigmatic strings and the dynamic percussions that drive the music forward. the change of volume from soft to loud also adds pathos to the piece and helps to create drama and tension in equal measure. If you composed this from one keyboard, it is very well constructed and well put together. The clarinet in the first quarter of the song is the only thing that lets the music down, as it did not sound convincing to me - hence the reason why I believed this was all done via keyboard and not real, live instruments. Nevertheless - terrific work. Superb music for a movie!

Good job, Carcouche ! I like a lot the way you make the music grow by adding instruments untill the first climax. I think you can make a more "sensitive growth" by compressing the Audio (specially the bass and the drums) to get more gain and pressure: it's very simple, take a look to the wave form and you will see that it has enough room to grow even more and get a bigger climax. This can work very well at the first part, but not at the second time, when you take again the theme after the pause. At the second time, you are "returning home", and it's not convinient to make it bigger than the first one, the real climax of the track . Keep working !!, I hope this will be helpful for you ;-)

Starts with great suspense...and turns in to a journey..that asks a question...a melodic question ...and an answering refrain . It is a full journey musically.... a score if you will. It has great lift as it answers the musical question and then a graceful apex..very very nice.

An atmosphere at the top

Nice track Carcouche !! She makes me think of the master Ennio Morriconne. Personally, I would have added more brass on the rise in power. There is this clarinet that appears and I want to hear more. But this is only a personal opinion. Very good work.
