Bio of the Artist
A product of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, BHB has evolved from late-night jam session relationships.

Bryan Harrison provides the creative spark and driving force for the band.  A seasoned guitarist, Bryan combines his lyrical songcraft with memorable original music, hooks and identifying riffs, and from time to time melodic to fierce lead guitar playing as suits the song, with a melding of root influences that include: Clapton, Stevie Ray, Garcia, and the Allman Brothers Band, to Neil Young, the Beatles, Dylan, Stones, and more recent sounds like Toad the Wet Sprocket, Los Lonely Boys, etc.

Greg McRay is a well-rounded and accomplished drummer.  Winner of Guitar Center Drummer Competition, drum instructor, with touring band experience.  Greg and Bassist, Raven, have worked together for the better part of the past decade, and it shows in the strong and tight rhythm they produce.  Raven previously played in the noted reggae band "Strictly Roots". The addition of this duo to BHB provides THE sound Bryan has been striving for the past several years.

Jim McLaren refers to himself as being "one step up from the curb", a reference to his extensive experience busking the streets of the North Beach district in San Francisco.  Ever popular, with his acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals, Jim provides a great deal of heart to the music.  The blending of harmony vocals Jim and Bryan create together gives BHB a full and rich sound.

Mike Fleming provides extensive and diverse texture to the band with his synth guitar and often dual guitar leads with Bryan.  Mike has performed most recently as the leader of the Barbary Coast Allstars, hosts a regular open mic in San Francisco, and is the producer of the PBS tv series "Open Mic Showcase".

Dave Coan is a well-noted djembe percussionist in the San Francisco music community.  Dave and Bryan began playing coffee houses together a few years ago, and were key elements together of "Lonnie Lazar and the Wake Up Call", a featured band at the High Sierra Music Festival. Dave also previously played in the band Electric Color Wheel with Greg, giving the rhythm core and even tighter chemistry.

Bryan's songs "Guilty", and the instrumental "Temptress", have received extensive streaming on Live 365, and some independent radio airplay.
Current LP release, "Raw Tracks", available at: http://www.CDbaby.com/bryanh, has received rave reviews, including a five star rating from Pacific-Times.org.

The band has just released a full-band demo, available for listening here.  These songs are a sampling of the full-length album in production, "thru the open gate".
