ROCK AND ROLL

The same melody can be interpreted softly, melodiously, joyfully, raw, playful, and in many ways sung or played by an instrument. Think of a metal song, a children's song or a romantic song. Of course, this is not a purely compositional aspect, but we must take it into account as it influences notoriously. Thinking about how the melody should sound, even the timbre of it is a very important aspect. Very good song. My congratulations.

A Great Song

It is difficult to find fault with this song. There is really nothing wrong with it. It has a positive, happy and upbeat feel, something that is sadly lacking on numberonemusic. Perfect length, too. not too long. All the ingredients are there: competent musicianship, well sung vocals and MELODY, something else sadly lacking on numberonemusic. Who does it sound like? The electric guitar on the intro sounds like Footloose by Kenny Loggins.

Wow....Brit rock

This is a fun track. The vocals are in tune and I love what you did with the backup vocals. The song stays with the theme and gets it's point across. It's not my favorite style but that's not the point. Keep rockin' Bruce

The Purple People Eater Wanna Be Song! ;-)

Footloose intro! Short entertaining song. The drums are good, the guitars are okay, thought the sound of it could be a little better. Bass line is interesting though simplistic. Back vocals are really interesting compared to many songs I have reviewed here by mixing it up a bit instead of only repeating the same note and words. Solo is okay, nothing particular about it. The song is now over and I liked it, but don't feel the need to listen to it again. How about modulating at the end after the solo? It would help keep it more interesting. Nice little song...

Don't You Ever Change

Well I like the feel of this song. It has that "surf sound" it's a boppy, poppy fun kind of a song. The song has a very Beach Boys feel to the music and the background vocals. The section before the guitar solo is musically "cool" but from the perspective of non musicians listening it's almost distracting. When I listen to this song I think of an old school beach movie and this song is playing and hip kids are dancing. Then that section comes up and it throws the kids dancing out of sync and rhythm. Like I said musically I can appreciate it but we don't write and play music for other musicians we play them, write them and record them for the masses and they don't care about anything technical. The guitar solo to me is slightly distracting as well. Have you ever listened to an intro of a song, just the instruments, and the guitar kicks in but it's playing the vocal melody. That is a great idea to get the listener familiar with that riff or melody. You might want to try that and make it something you can hum ( or something easy and memorable ) guitar solos should say something with as few notes as possible, unless you're doing guitar oriented rock or hair band rock or show off rock. This song screams mass appeal to me and I think very simplistic and melodic notes and phrases would make the solo catchier to the normal listener. Last but certainly not least is the lead vocal. I like your voice I think it sounds great singing this song but a few things to consider. There are times where it seems like you are saying too much and not letting your words flow. Pentameter is something that has been thrown out of vocal melodies in recent years and it should really be brought back. When a song has a great vocal flow it just moves and follows a pattern just like a guitar, piano, bass and instrument basically. When we throw pentameter out it makes the vocal sound either rushed or you are trying to fit too many words in a line and it makes the vocal less understandable, harder to breathe and it doesn't have a smooth flow. One example is If you want to go and change your hair Or buy that dress over there. If you count the syllables in the first line there are more and when you go to sing the second line "over there" sounds rushed because your trying to "make it fit" Now sing this like .... Or buy that pretty little dress over there. It flows better with the first line. Little changes in my opinion will make this a great summer time fun new age surf song. I do love the song and I hope you find my input as a few positive suggestions ! Keep writing my friend

All Right !

It's a nice tune, well played, got a kind of angular backbeat, sounds like you might hear it on pop radio somewhere, nice feel to it, the balance is fine, and most of all it sounds like they had fun putting it out here. Thanks Bruce!

DONT YOU EVER CHANGE

THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF BRIT POP GROUP FROM THE LATE NINETIES SUPERGRASS VERY CLEAN PRODUCTION AND POPPY GUITAR AND VOCALS I WAS EXPECTING MORE HEAVIER SOUNDING GUITARS FOR THE CHORUS TO GIVE THE TRACK THE LIGHT AND SHADE IT NEEDS TO LIFT THE CHORUS OUT OF THE SONG AND OTHERWISE FOR UNDER THREE MINUTES YOU GET WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTING AND WOULD IMPROVE WITH REPEATED LISTENS

Nunca cambias!

...good vibes and vibrations dominating!

That's kind of a party music... no sad and melancholic melodies or vibes... here are the good vibes and vibrations dominating! Good performance and production! This a promising good song to have a good party! I cannot discover any lacks, so this seems to be an overall good production, very professional and likely to achieve more audience and attention. Whoever likes party music with a positive style in a kind of britpop style has to deserve this!

Change for a Quarter

One of the things I like about listening to Number One Music artists is that we'll hear artists we'd never ever hear of on any regular radio format. This is a fun example of a cute little pop song that's catchy, well produced and something I could imagine hearing in the background of some 1960's type of movie or television show. There's nothing wrong with this song - which, to be honest, really is out of the ordinary for indie music. Nice job.

Bruce Gombrelli you so fine...

Bruce Gombrelli has sent mr a request to review his song "Dont You Ever Change" Bruce Gombrelli claims that this song is a light short fun tune about a young boy that didn't realize that things do change, but, he doesn't care. Well that's alright with me, because I don't care either. Maybe Kenny Logins or Jimmy Eat World may care, butt, what other artist does Bruce Gombrelli craftsmanship sound like? Maybe Jethro Tull with a "hey nicki your so fine" guitar riff...

Change

Great drums, funky guitar, crazy, funny lyrics.. OK I like it... Nice changes and simple life as it changes. When reading the concept I didn't expect the beat.. But it fits. Congratulations... I believe you're on to something. I can see this being played on a coming to age film... Magic

Impressive

A real timeless song, the Footloose debut is unmistakable, but then it develops in a real brit vibe, like a song Mick Jones would have written with Carbon Silicon, only happier. Love the refrain and the bridge, congratulations on composing this song!

yes

Dont You Ever Change review. this is a strictly British piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in British style as I said everything recalls the British genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a British piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job
