Stefon Taylor aka: BIONIK started playing music at 12 and began his professional career working at Chicago Recording Company in 1991. There, BIONIK was trained by Peter Mokran and worked with artists like: R. Kelly, Aliyah, The Winans Family, Smashing Pumpkins, Izzy Straddlin, Sting, James Cotton, and Junior Wells. His ability in the studio landed him in the United Kingdom where he engineered, programmed and co-produced four albums for Island recording artist John Martyn from 1996 thru 2000. BIONIK relocated to Boston in 1998, where he continued honing his engineering and production skills working with many artists such as: Lady Saw, Everton Blender, Johnny Osborne and Frankie Paul. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, BIONIK has engineered and produced projects for Ice-T, Too Short, Kool Keith, Volume 10, Baby Bash and Lil’ Rob to name a few. BIONIK’s music and production is also featured in many movies and television shows including: Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift, CSI: Miami, The “L” word and Las Vegas. |
