Big Malo manages to deliver good music, oftentimes outshining his competition while keeping his name relevant. Throughout, his career, the Hunter’s Point native dropped several cds highlighting his innovative rap skills, while developing a credible street buzz.
By populating the underground with Super Sport Vol.1, Hunger Painz Vol. 1, 2; The Purple Precedent, Size Matters, The Emergency Broadcast Mixtape and a compilation CD rightfully titled “The Bottom of The 9th”, the San Francisco alumni showed off his work ethics and commitment to supplying the streets with quality music.
“Growing up I remember listening to Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick. I recall singing La Di Da Di with my mother as she prepared me for school in the morning,” he reminisces on his first encounter with hip-hop. My love for hip-hop started in Elementary School, got proficient in Middle School and in High School I started to take it more serious.
During his upbringing he tried not to fall prey to the lure of the streets,“I went to Grambling State and even in school I made my presence felt at college parties and open mic shows,”
