To All Fellow Travellers In The Game Of Life....
Good day wherever you are in the world,
I have been quiet for quite a while but today I have decided it is a good day to send out a new newsletter. I hope you will be inspired by it.
Some weeks ago I uploaded an amazing track called Traveller. Its amazing because it is beautiful and different but also because of the magical way it came into being.
Let me explain.
When asked by a reporter how he created such amazing music John Lennon said “I don’t write the songs I discover them in the place where all great songs come from”. I think he was saying in a round about way tthat he entity that inspires all great things is something outside and bigger than us what some people call God or The Force. Inspiration comes from the Greek word Spiritus which means the breath of God.
Traveller came to us like this. On the third day from when we started playing together for the first time it came out of the smoke so complete in the eleven minutes it took to play that when we had finished we could barely remember it so in that shamanic space were we all. When we played it back having fortunately recorded it we were all overcome with emotion.
You see Traveller was channelled through us, not written by us.Sure we had to play it right which is a certain skill but we didn’t talk about it, agree beginnings or endings or what key or any of that stuff. We had to take our egos out of it not put them into it. We just played what we felt. It is impossible to explain it really and if you are scientific well please tell me how we managed to play together with no idea what we would play, change time and harmony’s and all slow down and finish at the end. I do not believe that this is consciously possible it is improvisation on an entirely different plain I believe.
So we glimpsed a possible future if we could help the world to travel with us to this amazing and magical place- this glimpse of Heaven perhaps. If the world could get to glimpse this place what a world we would create, all of the squabbling emerging from our petty world views would end and that amazing intelligence that must be behind it (not ours) would be able to work through us all to fix all of the mess that our ego based bullshit way of being has created thus far. To reach that place requires a different way of living and thinking a way that I want to show you all. Listen to it and if you like it or love it tell someone else and this way it might spread its beautiful energy into this squabbling petty human world that is destroying the far more beautiful world we all live on and which is not ours to rob, blow up and destroy for there is nowhere else for any of us to go.
Tomorrow I am dealing with the petty ego based world. I am going to court to save the beautiful home that I have lovingly created in the last 35 years. I have been there before because I have fallen behind on the bloody huge mortgage(again) that I took out to keep on going towards my dream to create music to free us all. Tomorrow there is a bigger chance of ending up homeless than I have ever faced.
For seventeen years I have battled on. Often we have lived on fumes. I have not had a holiday for nine years. This is the price that you must be prepared to pay if you are to have a shot at your biggest dreams and most people will work tirelessly to drag you back into the world they inhabit where there are no dreams and you do what “they”, the men in black or blue suits tell you to do. Its not completely in your power to carry on. If I am rendered homeless I am finished. There is no future my dream has gone and I am a 61 year old homeless person. Perhaps someone will feel that the special magical thing in our music that many of you have emailed me about is worth preserving and will come to our rescue or perhaps more of you will work harder to spread the word. I want to reach the promised land I worked so hard to reach but I an aware that there is a bigger plan and I am a small part of that plan so if I must end up homeless so be it. The world changes by telling one person at a time. I hope so because I have literally risked everything I have ever made, mortgaged the house up to the hilt, found legal ways to keep on going that most people never find but I am weary. So if you can help a weary traveller in some way to stagger a few more steps to his reward for all the years of struggle then who knows what is possible. All of the energy in what I create comes from my home. It's an energy people feel when they come.
