Barnum's Freak has displayed a very strong ability to write interesting music throughout their portfolio, and Appearance is one of the compositions that definitely stand out as being a singular piece of work that has its own character and voice. The structure is played out in movements, telling a story that never stops engaging the ear of the listener. All of the performances are high quality, technically executed with skill and dexterity whilst retaining the soul and intent of the writing.

This song really sounds great. The vocal is good. It has great blending. Now i am listening for the cohesiveness of the song all together. Sometimes as an artis we can get lost in our song. Repeating where the song started in the beginning. In my opinion is like repeating a theme. The great Vocal never came back. The vocal was one if strength of the song. Remember, we all are taught differently. This is just an opinion. Overall, the song was really good.

A good mixing of balancing melody folk song on a rock sounding jazzy chords and rythms music. And when you like real music, of course you like Barnum's Freak "Appearance" music ! And you could use Barnum's Freak music for some heavenly dreamy freaky movie backing track.

Good use of the Ocean. Great piano. Very nice synth soloing too. Actually all instruments very good. Good vocals.....really, every thing is good! I thought the use of reverb/delay, whatever is going on was extremely effective. Very nice vibe.

Well produced relaxing track reminded me of shackatak early eighties rock meets jazz. Nice vocal. Great stuff especially the flute. Great changes keep things interesting difficult to predict what will come next well done.

Appearance Well, apparently and usually I can always listen to melodies and songs when they are well built, that is, in their composition do not be boring and repetitive. I noticed a very concise melody and varied options of pleasant sound to hear. I liked it, wow, and repeated it several times without giving up. Varied choices of well-played sounds and spread throughout the melodic stretch. I recommend with all certainty to all lovers of good music.

After listening to Barnum's Freak I would like to express my appreciation of this band's compositions and musicianship. Having been a fan of Europe's progressive music scene for some time it is refreshing to hear music of this approach. Italy has produced some excellent music for a long time including Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, Premiata Forneria Marconi and Barnum's Freak should be included. I am looking forward to hearing more from them!

There was a story in this track and I like the progression of the music. It sets a tone that allow the listener to drift away from reality and be somewhere in bliss. Not many can pull that off, keep up the great work.

A wonderful vocal tone providing a beautiful performance against a soothing relaxing background. Not sure if the background ocean noises are needed after the opening 2 to 3 seconds. The background music flows like something off a Yes album. The only change I might recommend is to ease up on the vocal reverb on the main vocal. It starts to bleed into the cymbals space and clash a little bit.

great mix nice acoustic and drum tracks as well , the lead vocal is very nice great tone, I do like the Bridge the keyboards are very intriguing the chorus is very nicely done, and good play on the melody lines. Good Stuff.

So much going on in this recording that I like. Instrumentals and instrumental solos are melodically beautiful. I like the use of extra sounds to fill out the song and make is sound interesting. The effect on the vocals is great also -- fits the mood of the song well. Also interesting chording and melodies throughout. My one critique would be the length of the song. The middle through the end of the song is full of good music, but it doesn't seem to be taking the song in any particular direction.

what a quality of sound! i feel if I were sit in front of the sea in a resting summer evening. Peaceful and quiet evening. waves are also very real. echo is quite good. A bit searched disharmony that ends up very well , though the guitars are a bit chaotic but they don´t last long time so are ok i would not have inserted so many electronic sound because the beginning with the piano and simple guitar is fantastic, at the end so much electronic guitar get embarrased the beauty simplicity of the song.,Flutes very nice, but not so long voice added.and repetitive melody..Percussion good. Very good work

Not sure how a song can be listed as an "instrumental" and have vocals.....seems a bit contradictory. However, the song itsself is well arranged and recorded and I did somewhat enjoy listening. Gave it 2 1/2 stars just for the mislabeling.
