I would classify them as modern prog with an emphasis on writing really good songs with great melodies.
My hope is that more people check out these guys because they are talented and "Noise" is a great album all the way through.

Che dire sugli Aura? Semplicemente hanno sfornato un album fantastico. Questi ragazzi creano musica di alta classe e senza tanti compromessi, a mio modo di vedere sono una punta di diamante del progressive metal italiano, questo album è da comprare e ascoltare. Consigliato a tutti i progster e non.

possiamo di certo azzardar a dire che "Noise" si attesta a pietra miliare della loro carriera, nonché a tenace competitore di una scena che in Italia, da sempre, propone band di grande spessore tecnico-artistico.

This videoclip is taken from "Noise", Aura's third studio album.
"Noise" represents a substantial turning of sound from the previous "Deliverance", while retaining many of the elements that have always distinguished the band's sound.
The turning point, if we want to talk about turning, was determined primarily by the artistic maturity of the band members, now being able to master their art and know how to move skillfully among its many facets. This creates an enveloping disc, catchy and complex at the same time: you will seem to hear different influences within each listen, 70s rock to post rock, united in an amalgam of incredible arrangements, moving AURA to Pomp Prog and Art Rock Olympus, thanks to immediate and powerful songs with a complex harmonic structure and melody indeed. Who is already thinking to act as Styx, REO Speedwagon, Saga and Kansas, is not too out of the way ......
The lyrics are intimist, with referrals to socio-existential themes like war, the need for a more cohesive society and the need for a spiritual evolution of the self.
The album was recorded by the band at the AURA studios, while mix and mastering were handled by Cristian Paduano.
"Noise" will be released by Spider Rock Promotion worldwide starting on February 6, 2015, for both the digital market and the physical, in an elegant digipack.

About AURA_PROG
AURA play a combination of styles summarized under the Progressive Metal genre.
Their music features odd time signatures and dynamic tempo changes, dreamy melodies, heavy guitars, and clean vocals.
The band is currently signed to My Kingdom Music. With this label, the Italian band released their debut album called “ A different view from the same side” in 2008. Now, with a new album titled “Underwater”, they are ready to wrap you in their incredible universe made of intense melodies, and dreamy atmospheres. The album will be out on September 30th, 2022.
Between 2011 and 2019 the band released two full-lengths called “Deliverance” (2011) and “Noise” (2015) with Spider Rock Promotion. In its history the band took part in many live events: Metal Battle final at Transilvania Club (Milan – Italy), iTim Tour broadcasted through Rock Tv, Agglutination Metal Festival (1998 and 2011, Italy) – Pictures of Prog festival (2011).
