I get so many of my song ideas from what goes on around me or what I see on the news. I try to steer the thought toward the pleasant but sometimes I feel like a subject needs to be covered that I have noticed a lot. It seems a shame that there are any issues that need to be covered, but unfortunately I have those issues thrown in my face all the time. Bullying, poor treatment on the job, in the schools, and just out in public are just a few things I have noticed a lot. The usual discrimination toward race, nationality, gender, and sexual preference is all too common but age discrimination has been a lot on my mind lately. I can't believe how some people raised their children to show such disrespect toward their elders!! I just hope something turns around cause we don't have our elders in our lives for long and I wouldn't want to miss out on learning all I can from them!!
