I've been under the weather with some health problems the last month or so but I can see daylight. It's wild how we take things for granted like they are always gonna be there. I'm taking deep breaths these days and taking it all in. Life is beautiful!
I hope ya'll are having a blast this summer taking some time off to get away. It's amazing what that can do for your body and soul.
My new album "Real" is getting quite a bit of airplay on radio and here is an album review from a Hall of Fame Reviewer on the Amazon website:
HALL OF FAME- VINE VOICE
4.0 out of 5 stars - A Winner
July 13, 2018
I like to support emerging artists. This disc by Art Dickerson is a real joy. He writes in a country-folk style, more acoustic based and mellow than the Nashville commercial country you might hear from artists like Keith Urban. He's very strong as a songwriter. The songs are distinct and don't sound the same, retaining the unique identity of each. Dickerson has a lovely tenor voice, masculine but on the higher side like classic artists like Gene Pitney or Billy Joe Royal. The very sweet "A Woman's Touch" and the sadder "Beyond Repair" stood out to me. From the singing to the lovely country-tinged songs, this disc is a winner. Enjoy!

It's still featured on TuneCore's website as one of the best new albums of 2018.
I'm going to shoot a video soon and which song do you think I should do from the album first? Real, A Woman's Touch, I Was Gonna Leave You, Take Away The Rain?
You have been so supportive of me and my music so I want to thank you and give you a demo of my song "Love Died Here" (attached) It's pretty rough at this stage but I may put it on a future album, we will see. I hope you like it.
Also a photo of our family farm in South Texas where I go to unwind.
Cheers ya'll !
There is an amazing energy in the air and it is "Real"! My new album is really gaining momentum and the reaction has been super! The album is on more than 150 online download and streaming stores including iTunes, Amazon, Amazon Music, Spotify, iHeart, Pandora, Google Play and the list goes on.
I'm honored that TuneCore who I released the album through picked "Real" to be featured as one of the best new albums. Only a few were chosen at random for the "New Music Friday" edition on their website. https://www.tunecore.com/blog/2018/06/new-music-friday-june-29-2018.html
Quite a nice surprise and it will stay on there for a number of weeks.
There are also radio stations playing songs from "Real" and we are getting more on board every day. The most popular songs so far are "Real", "If I Could"(Acoustic version), "I Was Gonna Leave You" and "Beyond Repair". What's your favorite song?
I want to ask if you can give the songs a review on iTunes or any other site? This could help my popularity and get the word out. I'd appreciate it and if you can like or follow me on facebook, https://www.facebook.com/art.dickerson.98
