|  |  |  |  |  |  | | | | | | Bio of the Artist | Amethyst band is born in 2003, in a small town on the outskirts of Palermo, where the landscape often predominantly mountainous and snowy is the perfect background in which ANTONINO LO MONACO (guitar), SILVIO LO MONACO (bass), EDOARDO PRIANO (guitar) with JOSAEL (drum) decide to create a thrash metal band. The band began its warm up when JOSAEL, because of his many commitments, announced his intention to leave the band.
In the summer of 2004 FAUSTO CARAVELLO (guitarist of Nergal - Palermo) cooperate with Amethyst, who acquire more technique and experience. Only in 2007, the band manages to find stability with the new entry SIMONE DI PATTI (drums - also in Nergal) with which the band restart performances and then decide to register the first demo.
"Justice is Done", recorded at the Circle of Power Studio in 2008, contains in addition to the titletrack "Justice is Done", 2 other songs: "Welcome to Hell" and "Time of Slaughters."
In the same year, Amethyst pass the provincial selection of the "Event Sound Promotion Musicvillage": the committee is composed by the Director of "Rockol", representatives of the "Venus", the "Sugar Music", the "Warner", the "Universal", "Tube Records", "Rock tv" and many others. The experience is unique. The band is inspired emotionally and brings home a great experience.
Amethyst today continues to play on stages with the same desire to do, while preparing a new chapter of old style thrash metal!
Time of Slaughters has been trasmitted on air during the Gods of Metal 2009.
In February 2010, Simone leaves the Amethyst band for some personal issues. The Amethyst, after several and difficult researches, choose ALESSANDRO "TRACTOR" CATALANO. He was convinced by the band and then definitely and officially become the new drummer.
