The artist was born with the name Terroll Williams in New Orleans, LA. He is a survivor of violent abuse at the hands of his Father. By the time he was 6, his mother, who also suffered this abuse; found the strength to escape that life with Terroll and his younger sister. Years later, his father decided he was done with this life and committed suicide at age 35. What does that have to do with music or poetry? The answer is simple. If not for these events, Terroll may never have picked up a pen and pad to express himself poetically.

Music was a big part of his younger days, singing in church and school. It wasn't until age 15 that writing became a part of his life. It began as a way to connect with his father since he also wrote poetry. For Terroll, writing was therapeutic. All the pent up anger and fear that resulted from his early childhood could be released and later examined in hopes of making sense of it all. Fast forward to 1996; Terroll's loves of music and poetry naturally progressed into songwriting. As time went on, he would integrate singing and rapping into a melodic sing-song flow anchored by potent wordplay. This would become one of his favorit
