The track Initiate has met a tremendous success since the album release. It has been listened to more than 22 000 times on SoundCloud and still featured in the Piano Day 2016 playlist! About AEONN
AEONN is a protean music project conceived by the creative mind of Nicolas Fleury, a contemporary work partway between industrial music and cinematic soundtrack.
The word AEONN is derived from ancient greek (“aion”/"eon"), referring to vital force and time.
Music itself exists by virtue of the temporal dimension - this minimalist concept of time as the origin point for life and music is the essence of AEONN.
Greatly influenced by movie scores, Nicolas creates a fusion of evocative soundscapes and modern industrial music by blending elements such as guitars, electronic drums, piano and synthetisers.
The combination of epic melodies with advanced sonic textures gives rise to a broad-spectrum of haunting atmospheres.
Designed to tell a story, the arrangements is supported by a contemporary instrumentation work where the purpose is to convey a genuine vision throughout the tracks.
In December 2014, The Thing You Breed was released. Principally inspired by post-rock and industrial sound, it is deeply connected to soundtrack atmospheres. The six tracks were composed by means of precise work on each arrangement using rock instruments and electronic synthetisers.
For Piano Day 2015, Nicolas composed the instrumental track "An Immense Quiet Whole", a preview of his instrumental composition that would be continued later that year.
In late spring 2015, the desire to create a piano collection was born. Over a period of a month, Nicolas composed the nine instrumental tracks that would soon be released as the album named "INSTAR".
The album is out for Piano Day 2016 as a tribute to the instrument that inspired the tracks.
