About Addison Station
Addison Station started as a studio group in 2008, releasing an introspective collection of acoustic pop songs “Everyday Hero”. Inspired by the soul and rhythm of singer/songwriters Rob Thomas, Stephan Jenkins, and Jason Mraz, singers and high-school friends Trent Gerbers and Jeff Kenniston decided to tour as an acoustic duo. The duo show, which has since become known in western New England for its creative cover arrangements, highlights the natural vocal chemistry between the two songwriters.
Over the course of 2009 and 2010 Gerbers and Kenniston experimented with various musicians to assemble a full band to back them up, and eventually added long-time friend and local Connecticut rocker RC Roberts on lead guitar. UCONN men's basketball pep-band veteran Peter Bard has assumed drum duties since 2010, and Eastman School of Music grad Ken Rescsanski has recently joined on bass. As a quintet, Addison Station’s music has fallen into a niche of easily accessible pop/rock tunes powered with a driving rhythmic foundation, and strong signature vocal harmonies.
Addison Station has released their follow up EP, “Home Tonight” (Distributed worldwide by JMD Records/InGrooves), in June 2010
